As part of the CSD
Medical Research group EPIC can provide access to European
longitudinal patient data and further databases in Australia
and Korea. |

Using data
collected from the electronic medical records entered into
physicians’ computer software, researchers can now access a
combined total of over 7.5m anonymised active patients’
records with data from Spain and Korea just being launched. |

The databases offer researchers an opportunity to look at
areas such as incidence and prevalence, drug utilisation
patterns, healthcare resource use, not only at an individual
country level but on a pan-European and international basis. |
