THIN - THIN Data |
| |
THIN data
consist of anonymous demographic, medical and prescription
information at patient level. The data are organised in
files by individual practice and provide a longitudinal
record for each patient, sorted in patient order followed
by date so that all records relating to a single patient
are stored together.
The patient data are arranged in four standardised and one
linked file per practice. The coded data are interpreted by way
of a series of look up tables and dictionaries some of
which are specific to a practice and some are global i.e.
practice independent.
There are four main files: |
