THIN - Data quality |
|
|
|
|
|
Initially EPIC
collected aggregated statistics from GP practices that had
expressed an interest in contributing data to THIN. These
statistics consisted of the consultations recorded on the
practice computer and prescriptions issued from it. The
statistics collected from each of the first wave of practices
(approx. 115) were compared with National consultation and
prescription statistics and the results showed recording of
both consultations and prescriptions was comparable to
National levels . In summary these initial audits on THIN Data
practices have shown that all practices are recording data to
a sufficient high quality to enable them to join the THIN
scheme. |
